Being a dad to kids with autism is like going on an amazing adventure every single day. It's like climbing a huge mountain, but instead of climbing all at once, it's like taking it one step at a time. Every day brings new challenges, just like climbing a mountain brings new things to deal with. But even though it's tough, there are also really awesome moments when you feel like you've conquered something big.
The mountain is like autism itself—big and sometimes tricky to navigate. Some parts are really steep and rocky, like when we have to figure out how to communicate or deal with things that bother our senses. Other parts need lots of patience and understanding, especially when it comes to social stuff. But no matter what, we keep going, celebrating every little win like it's a huge deal.
When we get to the top, it's amazing. It shows how strong we are and how much we've been through. As a dad, I'm not just leading the way on this journey—I'm right there with my kids, cheering them on, and watching them create incredible things with their minds.
